The Pathways for our students

At Harris Science Academy East London, we are committed to offering a broad and balanced curriculum that caters to the diverse interests and talents of our students. Our aim is to ensure each student receives a well-rounded education that prepares them for their future endeavours.

All students will be automatically enrolled in the following core GCSE subjects:

  1. English Language
  2. English Literature
  3. Mathematics
  4. Combined Science
  5. Religious Studies

Students will additionally participate in the greater curriculum of Physical Education and Leadership Development Time, to provide a complete education.

There will be two pathways available to students:

Pathway A: In addition to these core subjects, students in Pathway A will also study, Geography or History and German. Students opting for this pathway will then select one subject from the optional list to study in addition to the core subjects.

Pathway B: Some students will, as an alternate to humanities and Languages subjects, receive additional lessons in English and Mathematics to further develop their skills and raise their attainment. They will also chose one options subject.
