Dan MacPherson
Principal
Originally from Essex, Mr MacPherson graduated from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, in Modern and Medieval Languages. Thanks to attending an excellent secondary school, he was the first in his family to attend university. The impact of education motivated him to teach.
He has worked in a range of schools since 2012, including grammar schools, independent schools and comprehensive schools. Prior to joining HSAEL, he was Senior Vice Principal at an outstanding comprehensive school in Greenwich, where he was part of the team that secured results consistently in the top 30 schools in the UK. He has the same vision and ambition for HSAEL.
